Yes, non-members can participate in most trips and excursions! However, members of THE REVEL CLUB and OVERLAND VAN CLUB receive priority access, early notifications, and exclusive discounts on events. If a trip fills up quickly, members get first dibs before spots open to the general public.

Ability to air up/air down, familiarity of 4wd operation, off-grid camping, and basic vehicle recovery is assumed.

Most of the roads are unimproved dirt and gravel roads. Old Ore Road requires high clearance 4x4 vehicles, so a little more technical than the rest of the roads in the park.

This journey is mostly about the journey however, we will do a short review of van readiness and basics of recovery gear the first evening before we set out. If you have anything else you would like to ask about traveling in your van, let’s just chat over dinner.

Dinner is provided each night, along with breakfast the final morning. You are responsible for your own breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day.

Yes, but in the national park pets are only allowed on roads vehicles are allowed, so they will need to stay in the van for any hiking/sightseeing along the way.

Absolutely Yes! Many of our trails are designed for use by stock (unmodified) vehicles. Your vehicle must have 4-Low, and at least one front and one rear recovery point (frame mounted tow hook, or hitch receiver). Contact us if you need help determining if your vehicle will work on our trails.

No, recovery gear is not required, but if you have some, bring what you’ve got - just in case. Our trips are designed to be accessible, and this is why THE REVEL CLUB and the OVERLAND VAN CLUB works with professional trainers and experienced guides to assist when needed. If recovery is necessary, we’ll have the knowledge and tools to help, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

If it’s safe, we will go rain or shine. If inclement weather forces us to cancel, you can either get a full credit towards another Yellow Dog trip or a refund minus $100 to cover nonrefundable expenses.

Hiking, biking, sightseeing, and exploring the Rio Grande are all available in the park. In addition, the park is an International Dark Sky Park, and has the darkest night sky of any national park in the lower 48 states, so the stargazing and night photography are amazing.
